-- Call-for-Papers: 1st Asian Workshop on Scalable Semantic Data Processing (AS2DP)
Call-for-Papers: 1st Asian Workshop on Scalable Semantic Data Processing (AS2DP) 7th December, 2009, Shanghai, China (co-located with ASWC 2009) http://wasp.cs.vu.nl/workshop/as2dp2009/ 1. Introduction The aim of AS2DP is to open a forum to discuss the scalability issue related to the infrastructure of the Semantic Web, such as, semantic data repository and inference engine. As the Semantic Web and its data are becoming widely employed, scalability is an essential condition for the practical usage. Increased performance and stabilization in dealing with the huge amount of information described in Semantic Web languages like OWL and RDF(S) boost the use of the Semantic Web. This workshop seeks to bring together researchers and practitioners to share their recent ideas and progresses towards building scalable storing, querying, and reasoning of Semantic Web data. 2. Topics This workshop covers the following research or industry issues: * Semantic Web repositories * Reasoning mechanisms and techniques on large-scale systems * Query evaluation and optimization * Benchmarking * Distributed knowledge base systems * Large-scale knowledge base management 3. Kinds of papers * Full technical papers - should not exceed 8 pages in length. * Short technical papers and position papers - up to 4 pages. * Demonstrations - 2 page description of the application with online demo. 4. Submission * Papers must be submitted on or before Oct 22, 2009 at the following address: http://www.easychair.org/conferences?conf=as2dp * Papers must be formatted in the style of the Springer Publications format for Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).
